Local Law Enforcement
Approximately 50 vehicles have been marked with what appears to be blood from a person in the Germany's municipality of Hanau close to Frankfurt, as reported by police.
Vehicles, exterior walls and postboxes were defaced, in some cases with prohibited symbols, they reported in a release.
Law enforcement report they were notified in the late hours on Wednesday, when a man discovered that a automobile in the Lamboy area of Hanau had been marked with a reddish-hued liquid.
The liquid had been placed in the pattern of a Nazi symbol, they stated.
Law enforcement then discovered many other vandalized automobiles and house walls in the nearby vicinity.
These symbols are banned in Germany under regulations banning the visible presentation of Nazi symbols.
Law enforcement state preliminary tests suggest the fluid was probably blood from a person.
"Currently there is no lead as to its source; authorities are currently not aware of any injuries in connection with the occurrence," they commented.
Municipal representatives announced they were working "to unravel the case" and have asked to the residents for tips.
A high-ranking official commented the incident left him stunned and needed to be addressed rapidly.
"This act strikes at the core of Hanau and revives the wounds of the extremist attack five years ago," he wrote on online, recalling the murder of nine individuals by a gunman targeting people of migrant background in 2020.
