Aviation records indicated the aircraft was on the runway in San Antonio, Texas from early September to mid-October.

Findings of Critical Components

The cockpit voice recorder and data recorder were found, and the power plant was located on the runway.

The recorders – called black boxes – were built to survive collision damage and intense heat from fires, and they seemed to be intact when discovered among the remains. Investigators plan on reviewing data from the devices.
